We all need to do a handstand every once in a while to see the world from another perspective.
It is so easy to be down and out, sad, frustrated and generally in a bad mood.
When I encounter these kinds of days I try to get my perspective in check.
Am I suffering with a terminal illness? No.
Do I live in a third-world country and have to walk three hours every day just to retrieve clean water? No.
Are the people who are closest to me alive and well? Yes.
Voila -a fresh perspective.
I know of someone who lost their seven-year-old child to brain cancer this past weekend.
Perspective.
It is so much easier to be inwardly focused on our own “issues” that sometimes it’s difficult to look around and consider other people’s circumstances and find a different point of view pertaining to your own situation.
So, if you woke up with the grumps today, try turning your world upside down to gain a different perspective.
Sometimes just an elbow stand or a chest stand will do
